    Using AdWords To Make Money

    I love AdWords.

There are many reasons why, but you know what my favorite thing about AdWords is? It's the fact that I can see results quickly from my efforts. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against traditional search engine optimization (SEO) at all. I love getting free traffic (who doesn't), but the fact is that you have to wait a long time if you want to have any chance of ranking on the first page of Google for the free (organic) listings. This is not the case using AdWords. In fact, I can create an ad and sometimes in as little as 2 minutes I see the ad show up in the search results.

Now guess what happens when you create ads for products or services that people want and get those ads in front of thousands of eyeballs per day? You get traffic, of course! And when you've got the traffic, you're going to get your share of sales. It's just the law of averages (or "conversion ratios", as they say in the business). Using Adwords to make money should be a part of every marketer's strategy.

Another great reason to use AdWords to generate traffic and sales is the fact that AdWords is not as prone to algorithm changes. You see, Google often tweaks their organic search listings algorithm, to keep people like me on our toes. After all, if you can "crack the code" to reliably getting on the first page of the free listings, then AdWords revenue would certainly dry up! But of course Google is smarter than that. But that's okay, because using AdWords to make money has many other advantages as well, including the fact that I as an advertiser control what my ad says! Don't discount the benefit here--with the free listings, what gets returned in the listing "snippet" is not always predictable. But if I put an ad out there, I can make it say whatever I want provided my ad falls within the acceptable Terms Of Service (TOS).

Let me sum it up for you: Using AdWords is a smart business move on your part, because you get more control over how your content appears in the listings, and, most importantly, you get results quickly.

Results = Traffic + Sales, which is the winning formula you need!

By the way, to learn all the strategies that the top Internet marketers use to win at AdWords, you really need to check out this book. I know of no other guide that is so transparent in sharing with you the closely guarded AdWords secrets that make all the difference in the world.

    9 Adwords Tips

When using AdWords, many people think that since they'll be spending money, they HAVE to get it right the first time. Well, getting any internet marketing stuff right the first time is going to be hard, so I'm going to give you some tips that I didn't learn until i was well into the AdWords program. Maybe you already use AdWords? Maybe you don't. But I'm sure you will learn something from this Tips list. So here it goes.

    1) Capitalize the first letter in every word. Studies show that if you do this, it makes it appear better on the eyes, and you will be more inclined to click. Capitalize the URLs words too. It helps to seperate them out.

    2) Use the keyword in your Title. If you can use it in the title, it will appear bold (as will it if it is in any other part of your ad copy), and since the title is read first, you've got a better chance to get clicked on.

    3) Only use one keyword per ad copy. I don't care if your word is 'clock' and the other is 'clocks', modify the existing one to say 'clocks'. The more relevant the better, and Google likes it more. Relevancy is Google's main cocern.

    4) Avoid long URLs. Face it, it's more appealing if an ad says, "www.TheRichJerk.com" than, "http://www.therichjerk.com/blog/2006/06/08/ rich_jerk_goes_hollywood_1.html" Catch my drift?

    5) Ask questions. Adwords like, "Want To Get Rid Of Rust?" will usually do better than, "Get Rid Of Rust".

    6) I'm not going to expose this, but if you don't remember what the Rich Jerk says, review the eBook again, because he has a really good ad section. I've used it and profited big time from it. The structure of his ads are great, and definitely consider using his AdWords idea.

    7) Test and retest your AdWords. I typically go 3 days with one ad copy, see how it goes, then go another 3 days with another ad copy. This is an on-going process, so set up a spreadsheet and document everything. How many clicks you got, how much you spent, Cost Per Click, Dates the test was ran (some people search more certain days of the week), sales/clicks (depending if you are running affiliate codes or AdSense), and anything else you can think of. The more you write down, the better.

    8) Use the word 'Free' or 'Trial' wherever you can. This is one of the most powerful words ever. Consider it.

    9) Don't bid for the extremely expensive keywords. Instead, start with the smaller ones, then work your way to the top. Especially when you are trying to get ranked by Google, it is important to tackle the smaller, less searched words, then go up the line getting the larger words. This is the same for AdWords. So look to the smaller words, then go up. Don't start at the top, you probably won't stand a chance.

Dan is vacationing in Europe as a result of his internet marketing. He won't be available for a while, so he's set up a website for Rich Jerk Members. However, his website contains very important information that cannot be posted here. If you struggle with Internet marketing, this could be the most important thing you ever read: Danny Relic's Secret Website.

    Getting Started with Google Adwords

Google and their pay-per-click advertising program Google Adwords are one of the most dominating search advertising mediums on the internet today. Today Google controls a majority of the searches on the web, generating over 70% of the clicks to web sites on the internet.

Because of this dominance in the search engine wars Google’s pay-per-click engine Adwords has taken internet marketing to heights previously unheard of before. Google Adwords matches sellers with buyers quickly and easily and if the savvy internet marketer can take advantage of this they can make good money.

    What is Google Adwords?

If you are looking for one of the most promising and profitable marketing opportunities on the internet today then Google Adwords may fit the bill. It is a pay-per-click advertising system that leverages the capabilities of the most popular search engine in the world today. It allows internet marketers to advertise goods and services through affiliate programs based upon the amount they bid for certain searched for keywords and phrases.

If you look at the right hand side of the Google search window in your web browser those listings are the Google Adwords ads. These are also known as “sponsored links” and internet marketers have paid to have their ads with links to their web sites shown here whenever that particular keyword or phrase is searched on Google.

    How does Adwords bidding work?

Internet marketers bid on their keywords and phrases using the Adwords system. Bids can start as low as 5 cents per click. As an example a business selling laptop computers may bid on the phrases “laptops for sale” or “cheap laptops” or any variation on those words. The point being that it pays to be as specific with your keywords as possible.

Where an ad is placed within the sponsored listings depends on several factors. How much is bid, the click through rate on the ad itself and the quality score of the web page the traffic is sent to. Bids can range anywhere from 5 cents per click to $50 or more, it just depends on the type of product you are selling and the return you get per sale compared to the click through rate. The top listings usually have the highest bids, but they also have the best ad copy and return on investment.

How to get started using Google Adwords.

If one is looking into using the Google Adwords system as an advertising tool, he can read the guidelines and the terms of conditions on the Google website. There are a few steps you can tackle on how to start using Google Adwords.

The first step is account creation. Google will guide you through this process. However, there are several things that one should take into consideration when creating an account. You should take into mind the different strategies that you may want to employ right from the start in terms of the selection of key words and the combinations of these words to be able to maximize the returns on investment using Google Adwords.

You should also target the right market in terms of selecting the right language and countries in which you would want your ads to appear. If you are selling products which would be of no use to citizens of certain countries or if the option of exporting the products is not available, you will want to limit the countries in which your ads are shown. You don’t want to get charged by generating clicks from people who do not belong to the target market.

The creation of an AdGroup is also a basic step in using the Google Adwords system. One should be able to conceptualize and design an enticing advertisement and select the right combination of keywords.

    Writing the advertisement.

You will be given 3 lines in which to write your ad. There is a line for your title and 2 lines of actual ad body that you can use. The title line is composed of a maximum of 25 characters and the 2 lines of ad body can be a maximum of 35 characters. Because of these limitations it is important that you choose your words carefully for maximum effect.

Linking to what you are selling.

Your ad should catch the attention of your prospective buyer. If you have done this well and they click your ad you want to link them to the most appropriate page of the web site where your product is located. You don’t just automatically want to send your prospective buyer to your home page. If they are ready to buy they do not want to have to search through your web site to find what they want. Send them to the product page right away and if you have done your research and ad creation correctly you will be rewarded with a sale.

These are the basic steps needed to get started using Google Adwords. While there is a learning curve there are many resources available on the internet explaining how to use Google Adwords effectively and efficiently.

    Making Good Money Using AdWords

I want to give you the bottom line right here at the start:

Anyone (that means you!) can definitely make money using AdWords. And if you know some of the insider tips, you can make a lot of money. Because Google is responsible for delivering relevant search results to more Internet users than any other search engine, your ad will been seen by more people if you list it on Google as opposed to other advertising mediums.

But while it's certainly possible to make good money with AdWords, you can also lose your shirt if you don't know what you're doing. This is what many of the popular AdWords books don't tell you, but it's absolutely true. Playing the AdWords game can be risky if you don't know what you're doing. But take the time to learn the basics plus some insider tips and you'll be well on your way to replacing your current paycheck.

Speaking of insider tips, let me let you in on a few right here for free:

    1) Write your ad emphasizing the benefits of the product or service, not necessarily the features -

A benefit is something that can be afforded to you by using the product or service. For example, if you're writing an ad pitching the latest lawnmower, don't write about how great the blade is (feature), but the effect that the great blade will have ("you will become the envy of your neighbors").

    2) Be as specific as possible in writing your ad -

People are sick of generalities. What the heck is a generality anyway? People want to know exactly what they'll be getting into if they use your product or service. So, don't just use general words or terms that can also be attributed to other products and services. Rather, list out benefits that are unique to your product or service.

    3) Experiment with different bid prices -

Many people assume that they will get the most traffic by being in the number one ad position. While this is sometimes true, it isn't always. Your ad copy is actually a more important success factor than your ad position (read that sentence again and let it sink in). You could very well be overpaying for your position, so keep tweaking your ad by "split-testing" it against another, and gradually lower your maximum CPC (cost per click) as you get more and more clicks.

I hope those insider tips are a help to you, and don't be afraid to experiment. AdWords success usually doesn't come overnight (no matter what anyone tells you), but stay the course and I guarantee you can make money using AdWords if you're willing to learn.

If you want to know all the insider tips, this book is the one to get. Everything I learned about AdWords is from that guide.

    Good luck!

    Making Money with Google Adwords

With just over 70% of the search market Google dominates the world of internet search theses days. It is little wonder that a majority of internet marketers and entrepreneurs keep their eyes on whatever Google is doing today and speculate on where they may go in the future.

With the advent of Google’s two flagship money making endeavors, Adwords and Adsense, Google was not only able to become a multi-billion dollar company they also enabled the world of internet marketing to become a viable route for anyone who has the drive and willingness to make a good amount of money, many times replacing their normal income 3 or 4 times over.

    What is Google Adwords?

Google Adwords is a pay-per-click advertising system that Google uses as its main source of income generation. In the pay-per-click system an ad is placed and appears for certain searched for keywords. The advertiser is charged every time his ad is actually clicked by a searcher. If the advertiser has done his work right this click will turn into a sale which should more than offset the cost of the click.

The nice thing about the Google Adwords advertising system is that an advertiser’s ads can run continuously and cost very little money. It also makes it easy to place ads that are very specific to whatever the product is and thereby further limit the cost.

    How does Google Adwords Work?

Google Adwords is an auction type system. Advertisers bid on keywords that they believe will bring buyers to their web pages. The higher the bid the higher up the Adwords listing that advertiser’s ad will be placed. There are a couple of other criteria besides bid amount that affect ad placement as well.

One is the click through rate of the advertiser’s ad. Also known as CTR this is the percentage of clicks an add get in relation to how many times it is shown for that keyword search. The higher the CTR the higher an ad can rise in the listings. A high CTR can also help lower bid price.

The other important criteria are the quality or relevance of the web page the ad is pointing to. This “Quality Score” is assigned by Google through their search algorithm. It is believed by many experienced internet marketers that the quality score is based on how ell the content of your web pages matches with that of the keywords they are bidding on and the ad copy itself.

Where do the Adwords Ads Appear?

If you d a search on Google you will notice that on the right hand side of the page there are eight “sponsored listings”. These are the Adwords ads. If you find one that interests you and you click on it, it will take you to some sort of web page, usually to a product that you can buy that is specific to the search you did. When you click on that ad Google charges the advertiser for that click. This can be anywhere from 5 cents to more than 50 dollars.

This is where “Return On Investment” (ROI) comes into play. The idea with Adwords is to make more from the sale of goods than what it costs to advertise. A good marketer can easily obtain an ROI of 200-300%, or for every dollar they spend they get 2 to 3 dollars in return.

    Affiliate Programs and Google Adwords.

An affiliate program allows just about anyone the opportunity to make money using Google Adwords. Quite simply an affiliate is a sales person for someone else’s products. With Google Adwords an affiliate can place ads that link to a merchant’s website. If this merchant is part of an affiliate network or has an affiliate program the affiliate get a percentage of anything they sale via their Adwords ad.

There are quite a few affiliate networks on the internet today that list tens-of-thousands of merchants and their products. It is easy to sign up with most affiliate networks and begin promoting the merchants who they represent. One could, if they were very motivated sign up with several merchants and have ads up and running in one day. This is not the recommended way to start as an affiliate but it does show how easy ads can be placed once you get the hang of it.

At the end of the day, Google Adwords is a viable tool that can be used increase traffic to one’s e-business. By minimizing irrelevant clicks and targeting those who are truly looking to purchase a product or service, an internet marketer can assure the profits they collect would be much greater than the costs they have to pay for each click on their Google Ad.

How to Take Full Advantage of Your Blog

Now that you’ve taken the steps to enhance your website with an informative blog, you should be seeing an increase in traffic to your site. Keep updating that blog, use plenty of keywords, and you’ll see more and more business. But what if you’ve done all of this, and you’re not seeing the results you hoped for? You may need to make some improvements.

Examine Your Blog Design and Content

Ask a few friends or family members who use the internet what they think of your blog. You may need a new blog design to integrate better with your website.

Once you’ve fixed the look and feel of your blog, make sure that you’re following the most important rules of blogging: update frequently and keep your content interesting. Blogging about your new listings, open houses and price reductions is a great start, but also try your hand at writing articles about topics that would be useful to your clients. How-to’s on moving, packing, cleaning, preparing for open houses, visiting open houses, and looking for a new home could be useful to your clients. Informative articles on topics like the school system, local history, or local events will keep buyers in the know.

    ecome a Real Estate Resource

When you offer buyers and sellers information that they want and need, they’ll keep coming back to your website. With a little work, you can become known as a local real estate expert. Do some research online to see what other Realtors are doing to become real estate resources, not just agents. Check out Scott Chappell and Brian Bean’s excellent blog at www.Scott-Brian.com for an excellent example of real estate blogging at its finest.

Your goal should be to create a site where buyers, sellers, and local folks can go to get the latest news and helpful information. You’re obviously the most in-the-know Realtor in town, right? Soon all those potential clients will see that you’re the ONE Realtor they need to call when they want to buy or sell.

How a Blog Can Benefit Your Website

Ok, so the latest craze on the Internet is ‘blogging’. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. If you have not heard of blogging, then maybe you’ve heard of a blog. If you’re still unsure what I’m talking about then maybe you should get out more.

Ok, I’m seriously just kidding. A Web log or ‘blog’ is a personal website consisting of regularly updated entries displayed in reverse chronological order. Blogs read like a diary or journal, but with the most recent entry at the top. Web logs or blogs are a type of Web content typically created by independent writers (although some reporters for media companies create blogs on newspaper or magazine sites). Some blogs are personal journals; others resemble newsletters or columns. Sometimes, they contain links to other sources of content and other times they are the main source of content like on this site. The website you are on right now (www.theebusinessresource.com) is a blog.

So why are blogs so cool? Why is everyone blogging these days? Well in my opinion, it all comes to two main factors. First, blogs are very easy to setup, maintain and add content entries with minimal web experience necessary. There are many descent blogging software tools that allow you to effortlessly setup and maintain a blog all on your own. My favorite is Wordpress. Wordpress offers you an easy and powerful way to start blogging right away… plus it’s free! The second reason in my opinion, why people blog, is because it provides them with a great means to add more content for their website. As we all know, content rules the Internet. With more content, you are guaranteed to receive more exposure, hence why I believe so many people are blogging these days.

Ok, so now you might be thinking to yourself, “Maybe I can start a blog and easily add more content to my website.” If you’re thinking this, this is good. So if you’re considering a blog for your website, let me ask you a few questions first before you dive in head first.

    1. Do you have a topic that you feel comfortable to write about on a regular basis?
    2. Are you knowledgeable enough on this specific topic to be writing articles on the Internet?
    3. Do you have the time in your busy schedule to create an article or more every week?
These are the three basic questions to help you determine if a blog is for you. If you’ve answered ‘No’ to any of these questions, then a blog is definitely not suitable for you. You must be comfortable and knowledgeable about your topic as well as have the time in your schedule to operate a blog of your own. However, if you’ve answered ‘Yes’ to all three questions, then I would highly recommend creating a blog for your website. Why? Because it will provide you with the following benefits:
    • More content = more exposure - Adding more content to your site will ultimately lead to more visits, hence more exposure.
    • Credibility on your chosen topic – Writing articles on your topic could cause you to build a reader base that will continue to come back to your site to read more about your topic.
    • Increased business – As you receive more exposure and begin to build your credibility, you will be sure to increase your business and gain qualified business leads. It’s a great marketing resource.
    • Knowledge – By writing about your topic every week, you will be sure to stay abreast on the latest trends and news relating to your topic.
    • Fun – Blogging offers you something different, a way to break up your day. If you have a blog, then enjoy it and have fun with it.
Well I hope I’ve provided you with some basic information on what a blog is and how it can benefit your website. If you think that a blog is for you and fits into the idea of your website then go for it… create your own blog, start blogging and enjoy it!

    I wish you much success!

    Blog Problems

What in the world is up with the world of blogs? Blogs are meant to be this great new technology where people can share their ideas and interests with others around the globe. As far as I’m concerned the state of blogs is one of chaos, confusion, and anti-interactivity. The other day I decided to do some research on the Web and try to connect to some blog writers out there that interested me. Let me tell you it was not an enjoyable task as I had envisioned. I spent four painful hours surfing through around a thousand on-line journals, and I found only a few that interested me. What are we doing out there people?
First of all, just getting to a blog can be a pain in the arse. For example, you type in the words ‘Philosophy blogs’ and a whole bunch of sites come up. Some are conglomerate sites with thousands of journals, but the area you’re searching for may have only one blog in it! This is because they separate the blogs into a million different categories, like ‘love’, ‘lovers’, ‘lovable’ etc. Why not have just a few main categories to choose from?
The next problem is the content. People with ‘philosophical’ blogs are having personal chats with their mates about the local dance competition on Tuesday! Why not go to a chat room if you just want to talk to your friends? Blogs are supposed to be a personal viewpoint expressed to the whole Web community. Wouldn’t you actually like to meet more people like yourself? How is this going to happen if you talk in strange uncommon slang and acronyms that you and your friends can only understand? Please stick to the subject at hand, and take it at least half seriously.
Another major problem is the fact that you can find a really cool blog that sparks an interest, but then find that the writer hasn’t added an entry in over a year! What’s it doing on the Net? Have these people passed away? I seriously doubt it, as there are so many blogs in this ‘lost’ state. Having a blog is a responsibility; it’s a shared diary for the whole community. How can someone form a relationship if you only write in your blog once a millennium?
Back to the subject of content: These on-line journals are a real chance to communicate regularly with others with similar views to yourself. We can learn a lot from each other, as each human is an individual with special traits and skills that only they have. So why do we see so many blogs just talking about trivial nonsense like ‘Who the coolest movie actor is.’ Humanity is an intelligent species evolving everyday towards a higher consciousness. So where are all the thinkers out there, the people who have taken us to the next levels of spirituality and scientific exploration? I’d really like to hear what you’ve got to say, but all I can find are philosophical beliefs on why died pink jeans express one’s true inner self.
The issue of making comments on someone’s blog is also a controversial one. Why have comments sections if you’re not going to reply to people who have expressed an interest in what you’ve had to say? How is this community going to function if all the conversation is one-way! Come on people, wake up and smell the onions! Let’s change the blogging community into the awesome structure of shared knowledge that it was intended for. Please don’t let it turn into the small-talk world of chat rooms.

16 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Blog

You've got your blog set up and you've started posting pithy, useful information that your niche market would benefit from and enjoy. Days go by, you keep publishing, but no one comments and your traffic stats are barely registering. What do you do?

Like any website you own, you must do some blog promotion to start driving traffic to your site. Here are 16 steps, in no particular order of importance, that you can start doing now to get traffic moving to your blog.

    1. Set up a Bloglet subscription form on your blog and invite everyone in your network to subscribe: family, friends, colleagues, clients, associates.

    2. Set up a feed on MyYahoo.com so your site gets regularly spidered by the Yahoo search engine (see tutorial on http://www.biztipsblog.com)

    http://www.my.yahoo.com

    3. Read and comment on other blogs that are in your target niche. Don't write things like "nice blog" or "great post." Write intelligent, useful comments with a link to your blog.

    4. Use Ping-0-matic to ping blog directories. Do this every time you publish.

    http://www.pingomatic.com

    5. Submit your blog to traditional search engines: http://www.submitfire.com

    6. Submit your blog to blog directories. The most comprehensive list of directories is on this site:

    http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55/

Tip: Create a form to track your submissions; this can take several hours when you first start so schedule an hour a day for submitting or hire a VA to do it for you.

    7. Add a link to your blog in your email signature file.

    8. Put a link to your blog on every page of your website.

    9. If you publish a newsletter, make sure you have a link to your blog in every issue.

    10. Include a link to your blog as a standard part of all outgoing correspondence such as autoresponder sequences, sales letters, reports, white papers, etc.

    11. Print your blog URL on your business cards, brochures and flyers.

    12. Make sure you have an RSS feed URL that people can subscribe to. The acronym RSS means Rich Site Summary, or some may consider its meaning as Really Simple Syndication. It is a document type that lists updates of websites or blogs available for syndication. These RSS documents (also known as 'feeds') may be read using aggregators (news readers). RSS feeds may show headlines only or both headlines and summaries.

To learn how news aggregators/RSS readers work, see this site: http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-readers.htm

    13. Post often to keep attracting your subscribers to come back and refer you to others in their networks; include links to other blogs, articles and websites in your posts

    14. Use Trackback links when you quote or refer to other blog posts. What is TrackBack? Essentially what this does is send a message from one server to another server letting it know you have posted a reference to their post. The beauty is that a link to your blog is now included on their site.

    15. Write articles to post around the web in article directories. Include a link to your blog in the author info box (See example in our signature below).

    16. Make a commitment to blog everyday. 10 minutes a day can help increase your traffic as new content attracts search engine spiders. Put it on your calendar as a task every day at the same time.

Tip: Use a hit counter to track your visitor stats: how many unique visitors, how many page views, average length of visit. You can get a free hit counter at http://www.sitemeter.com

7 Powerful Ways To Make Money From Adsense Using Only Free Tools Part II

    [Continue from Part I]

    d) Ways to make money from Adsense With Your Email signature

People greatly underestimate the power and potential effectiveness of a simple email signature as one of the ways to make money online. Actually this is a viral marketing method because emails get forwarded all the time and are even copied to several other people sometimes.

Do not waste another minute. Go to all your email accounts right now and create a signature that points to your Adsense site or sites.

Writing effective email signatures is a skill that you will have to develop, but I have found that using famous quotes is more effective than a straight advertising message. Always remember that people hate to be advertised to online.

    e) Ways to make money from Adsense By Asking Questions At Discussion groups

I recently had an interesting conversation with a young Internet and computer techie. He asked me whether there were quick ways to make money online by answering technical questions and helping people to solve their computer and web-related problems. My answer was that there were many discussion groups where participants would get these answers for free. I advised him that he had a better chance of making money by making use of this free advice available online rather than by trying to sell his own advice.

There are tons of online discussion groups where leading world experts will answer your questions and give you valuable insight for free. It is amazing why most people do not think of using these online forums to learn as much as they can about the most effective ways of making money from Adsense.

These forums can easily be found through you favorite search engine.

    f) Ways to make money from Adsense By Bartering your online skills for valuable Adsense keywords

In the old days, before the invention of money, if somebody needed something, the first question they asked themselves was; “What is it that I already have that I can exchange for what I need? Barter trade seems to have been forgotten but it is a very powerful method of trading. More so online where people have plenty of skills but are slow to trust others enough to send them money for an item they need.

You can barter whatever it is you have, your skills, products or services, and exchange them for genuine valuable Adsense keywords. Valuable Adsense keywords are the most effective way for a small site with low traffic to earn big cash from Adsense. And you can do this barter trade on an ongoing basis so that you always have a constant supply of valuable Adsense keywords which you can use at your site or blog as one of the ways to make more money from Adsense.

7 Powerful Ways To Make Money From Adsense Using Only Free Tools - Part I

There is really no doubting that there are amazing incomes currently being made on Google Adsense and the really interesting thing is that even relatively small sites and blogs are finding new ways to make money from their Adsense sites every day.

Actually there are a lot of increasingly creative ways to make money and maximize on Adsense earnings that are being discovered and also being put to use every day. And what’s even more fascinating is the fact that most of these tools being used don’t cost anything. They are actually free. Here are 7 of the most effective currently being used.

    a) Ways to make money from Adsense by Distributing articles through ezine and article announcement lists

Some of the most effective methods ways to make money from Adsense clicks involve the simple step of just increasing the volume of targeted traffic to a site. One of the ways of doing this is by distributing interesting content to ezine lists and article announcement lists. It is not too difficult to quickly build a list that reaches a million or so email boxes and can thus give a lot of visibility and drive tons of highly targetd traffic to your Adsense site or sites. Probably the most popular place for doing this is at Yahoo groups, but there are a few others that you can find easily by using your favorite search engine.

Success here depends on three main factors. Firstly you should be careful to join article announcement lists and ezine lists that are as relevant as possible to your subject matter and offering. Secondly your headline has to be a killer headline that will grab readers by the scruffs of their necks and force them to open your email message amongst the dozens or even hundreds of others they receive daily. It goes without saying that the content must meet the promise of your sensational headline. Anything less will cause annoyance and leave all those potential visitors to your Adsense site feeling cheated. And believe me, you don’t want to cause this sort of reaction because it is definitely not one of the ways o make money from Adsense or any other program for that matter. Thirdly, you will need the sort of resource box in all your articles that will leave most of your readers with no option but to visit your Adsense site.

Within a very short of consistently applying this technique, my daily Adsense earnings increased seven-fold.

    b) Ways to make money from Adsense by Distributing free articles to high traffic article sites Some people find the recent trends that have seen an increase in article sites surprising. I don’t. The net is primarily an information-seeking tool. Anything that will help improve the search and quality of information will greatly benefit the people making that effort.

Some of the older article directories receive very high traffic, mainly from web masters and site owners seeking quality free content for their sites. So apart from the immediate exposure these sites also guarantee plenty of future targeted traffic to your site, when folks find your articles useful enough to re-post at their sites.

The more new articles you release to these sites every week, the more targeted traffic your Adsense sites will receive. This is in fact one of the most effective ways of making money consistently from Adsense clicks. One of the reasons for this is that targeted traffic will tend to spend more time at your site or sites, and the more time they spend, the higher the chances that they will click one one of the Adsense ads posted there.

    c) Ways to make money from Adsense by Using Articles And A Viral Marketing Website

Any online marketing technique that involves the use of referral marketing or viral marketing automatically has a huge chance of being a success. The net is ideal for viral marketing and in fact gives any viral marketer huge leverage. Viral marketing or referral marketing is one of the most effective ways to make money online. Just ask Bill Gates.

When Gates was trying to play catch up on the Internet after an earlier mistake of underestimating the future importance of the net, he launched his Hotmail free email service when rivals like Yahoo already had millions of users. He decided to use a simple referral marketing technique. Every Hotmail message that went out had a brief signature at the end requesting the recipient to sign up for their free Hotmail account. Within a few short months, Hotmail had millions of users. And there are many other amazing stories which viral marketing boasts of on the net.

There is one of the very simple ways to make money from Adsense by going viral. Sign up at a leading viral marketing site. You will automatically get your own viral site. You can then use some of your articles to point people to your viral site. The way these sites work is that anybody who signs up at your site will have to visit your Adsense site if you register it at the site. So within a very short time you will be driving thousands of visitors to your Adsense site.

Find more details on this at my blog whose address you'll find in the resource box below.

Admittedly this traffic is less targeted. Still the huge potential and possible numbers you are able to receive using this free tool more than makes up for this.

The AdSense Formula for Making Money

I often get asked what the secret is to making money with Google's AdSense program. This often comes from people who are dreaming of setting up websites chock full of high-paying keywords for particular niche subjects and then sitting back and watching the money roll in. "What's the magic formula?" they ask me. If they're non-technical, I point them straight to my book, Make Easy Money with Google, and assure them that they'll learn everything they need from it. They may think it's hard, but it's not.

But what about the technical people? By this I mean the people who've already set up a blog or website, who have registered domain names, who are comfortable with basic Internet terminology and concepts. What is the "AdSense formula"?

The only AdSense formula that you need to know is this:

earnings = number of clicks * average price per click

This is what I call the Fundamental AdSense Formula because you can derive almost every AdSense "secret" directly or indirectly from this formula. Do you want to earn more with AdSense? You have two ways of doing it:

    1. Increase the number of clicks, and/or

    2. Increase the average price per click

Your earnings will only go up if you do one or the other, and ideally both. It's an obvious formula, yes, but it's amazing how many people lose sight of it in their quest for increased AdSense earnings.

Increasing the Number of AdSense Clicks

Increasing the number of times the ads on your site or blog are clicked is the most obvious strategy. There are two general strategies you can follow:

    1. Increase the traffic to the site, and/or

    2. Adjust the ads to make them more "clickable"

Getting traffic is hard and takes time, so don't look at it as a quick fix. The best way to get traffic is to provide useful, unique content and to rank highly in search engine rankings for keywords related to that content. In other words, use standard search engine optimization techniques. DO NOT "buy" traffic or use "link farms" or other dubious techniques. Other tips for getting traffic:

    1. Publish articles, even free ones, with links back to your site.

    2. Include a link to your site in the signature at the bottom of your emails or in any forum postings you make (if the forum allows it).

    3. Participate in forums/groups related to the content of your site or blog. The key is to participate, not lurk, and don't just post messages promoting your site.

    4. Add comments (relevant ones only, please) to other blogs, you can usually link back to yours. (This won't help your search engine rankings, but it may allow others who are reading those comments to find your own site.)

    5. Syndicate your content (trivial if you have a blog) and make sure that the content is registered with syndication aggregators.

    6. List your site in relevant directories.

Adjusting the ads is something you can do almost immediately:

    1. Position the ads on the page in order to make them more noticeable. Google even publishes a helpful heat map (see https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html ) for AdSense publishers.

    2. Choose the best AdSense ad format that works for your site.

    3. Change the ad colors either to make the ads blend in with your site or to make them stand out. Again, it varies depending on the site.

Whatever you do, DO NOT ENTICE VISITORS TO CLICK THE ADS. Google is very strict about this, see the AdSense program policies (found at https://www.google.com/adsense/policies ) for the details.

Increasing the Average AdSense Price Per Click

Increasing the average price per click you receive from AdSense is the other strategy for increasing your overall AdSense earnings. You can do this by:

    1. Carefully targeting your content, and/or

    2. Filtering out and avoiding low-paying ads

Content targeting isn't just about creating relevant, unique content. It's also making sure that that content is written to target the higher-paying keywords associated with a given topic. This means:

    1. Figuring out which keyword variations for that topic pay more. Often the more specialized variations and phrases pay more than the "generic" terms.

    2. Ensuring that the keyword density of the content favors the higher-paying keyword variations. See http://www.MakeEasyMoneyWithGoogle.com/vioxx-lawsuit.html for an example of well-targeted ads due to appropriate keyword density.

And to reduce the occurrence of lower-paying ads, consider these two strategies:

    1. Use AdSense's competitive filter mechanism to screen out the ads that you don't want.

    2. Show fewer ads on a page. The fewer ads you show, the more the higher-paying ads get displayed and clicked.

Many publishers also report that their earnings increase if they remove ads completely from pages with few or no clicks. Again, the "less is more" strategy favors the higher-paying ads.

    There's No Magic

As you can see, there's no magic involved to increasing your AdSense earnings. The Fundamental AdSense Formula is easy to understand, but that doesn't mean it's easy to apply the formula. It takes time and effort to do it, just like most things.

$1 Million in Google AdSense Earnings

They are calling him the million dollar man. Jason Calacanis recently revealed in his blog that he is on track to earn a million dollars from AdSense over the year ahead.

And if that number doesn’t wake you up and have you sitting on the edge of your seat, consider for a moment that he reached this level in less than a year. His company only started using AdSense in September 2004.

Calacanis runs Weblogs Inc., a network dedicated to creating trade weblogs across niche industries. And he’s quickly proven that AdSense is a credible advertising partner.

As their network has grown, so has their AdSense revenue. In January 2005 they earned an average of $580 per day. In March it was $737. In May it was $1,585. One day in July, just before he made the blog entry referred to above, they earned $2,335. Remember that is just for one day. If they can take that daily average to $2,740 they’ll be earning a rate of $1 million for a year. And Calacanis predicts that reaching daily earnings of $3,000 or even $5,000 is quite achievable.

That’s quite an achievement. Keep in mind that Calacanis has 103 bloggers on the payroll and nine staffers. Even so, many webmasters would give an arm or a leg to have even a third of that.

Google’s AdSense has been revolutionary. It has become firmly established as the darling of the online advertising industry. Although rumors are heard of major competitors launching a similar service, AdSense’s premier position seems secure for now.

In essence, AdSense has made it possible for almost anyone with a web site or blog to earn some revenue from advertising, without having to employ sales people or spend precious time searching for advertisers.

AdSense works like this. Webmasters sign up for an account in just a few minutes. They receive a small snippet of code to include on their web pages. Google will then automatically serve advertisements that are relevant to the content on the webmaster's pages. When someone visits the webmaster's site and clicks on one of Google's AdSense advertisements, the webmaster earns a fee. Advertisers can pay anywhere from five cents to a hundred dollars per click, and the webmaster receives a percentage of that fee.

Many webmasters are content with earning five to ten dollars from AdSense to cover the cost of web hosting. But many, unsurprising, have higher ambitions. At a popular WebmasterWorld forum, participants share tips and encouragement on reaching a goal of $300 per day from AdSense. So it is no wonder that Calacanis created quite a buzz when he made his million dollar blog entry.

Google have proven once again that they excel at designing innovative Internet services. If you are in the web industry and have not yet used AdSense, then perhaps you should try it out. Or if you are already using it, perhaps Calacanis’ impressive results will encourage you to track the performance of your AdSense units more closely, fine tune their positions and formats, and take your earnings to a new level.

Calacanis’ million dollar blog entry can be viewed at:

Adsense - Improve Your Earnings by 5 Folds

You may find many Adsense Gurus on the net, offering you thousand ways to improve your Google adsense earnings! Mind you guys, just buying some genius adsense template and expect it to produce thousand dollars a day is a sure impossibility!

I am telling you with my practical experience that nothing would work unless you are prepared to go that extra mile. You should get hold of the adsense secrets that are unique to your site. You must be prepared to make continuous changes and measure effectiveness on a continuous basis.

Following are simple but effective steps successfully followed by the author, which may help you to improve your adsense earnings by five folds or even more! However, keep in mind that nothing would work unless you customize these options to suit your requirements.

The Best Position - This is always the demarcation point which decides you should be earning in hundreds or thousands! You must identify the most likely position where the reader would be most tempted to click. At first you might have to follow what Adsense Gurus have suggested. However, you must keep in mind that what they have said is not unique to your site.

You should be bold enough to do your own research and identify the best positions unique to your site, ‘cos there could be exceptions to what Adsense Experts have proposed. Best example I can quote is ‘Plentyoffish.com’ a dating site which earns half a million Dollars a month just by displaying a single Google ad in each page with completely different link color format than the rest of the site using!

White Is In Demand - Having more white space around the article and the Ad will definitely increase your click through rate. In my case, this is one of the real secrets behind the high click through rate in my Adsense ads. Your objective should be to get the reader’s attention to the Adsense ad and the article. Therefore, it is important to have other areas blank as much as possible to centre reader’s attention to the Ad and the article. Remove all unnecessary items which are cluttered around the article and the Ad and have more white space on either side of the page.

What is Your Ad Size? - Highly effective Ad formats are 336x250 and 768x120. However, it is up to you to find out the best size for your site. These are the widely tested and accepted sizes. Try them out and see the outcome.

Be Discreet - I personally don’t prefer to server image ads in my Adsense campaigns because they dilute the effectiveness of the Ads. It is starkly obvious to the reader that they are clicking on Ads and the sole purpose of putting them is to make money! Just don’t make it so obvious! Instead, include text ads which are relevant to the theme. Place the ads where the reader is likely to seek a break while reading the article or your copy.

Artistic Way To Be Discreet - The font, color and texture should match with the rest of the page. This will make the ad looks like part of the article. You have the options to use either an ideally matching color or a contrasting color. Either way is effective.

Use The Maximum but Have a Balance - Always try to use maximum number of adsense ads in each page. Don’t lose balance however! Ads should not dominate the page.

Measure the effectiveness of Ad units - Always make use of Google Adsense channels to identify which position or format has produced high click through rates. Be prepared to change the Ad format, color and position according to your findings. These simple but effective methods surely drive you more income you never ever expect if you are prepared to follow those in your own way. Find out your way out today.
